Loving and Seeking God

I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Proverbs 8:17

This scripture gives us a look into the heart of God and is followed with a promise.

First the heart of God:
God is love. He created us out of love. We were the ones who gained from God creating us. God was already complete in Himself before creation. You cannot add anything to God or subtract anything from Him. So what did God gain from creating us? It’s Simply the satisfaction of loving us. It’s the joy of sharing Himself with us. That is what love does. It gives. It shares. It cares. It sacrifices. It rejoices. All that God wants from us is our love. We were created to be in a love relationship with Him. That is how good God is: He loves to love. It’s His nature. When we love God back, we benefit from all that He is and all that He has to offer. God is a person and desires to be loved. Did you know that you can love God? That you can actually make Him feel your love and give to Him your love so that He is blessed? Yes you can! And when you do, God loves it! God loves to be loved by you. He is seeking it!

Second is the promise:
Those who seek Me diligently will find Me. God wants us to seek after Him. Not just His blessings but Him. It’s when we do that diligently, heartily, passionately, consistently, God promises that we will find Him. We will discover greater revelations of who He is and what His love can do for us.

There is a power and a presence in the universe that is for you. That desires to love you. Seek after Him. Fall in love with Him. Show God in your dreams and decisions that you love Him, seek Him, and pursue Him more than anything else in life!

Today’s prayer: “Lord I love you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. I can’t wait to discover more of Your majesty. Thank You for loving me with an unconditional eternal love. I will never stop showing my love for You and seeking after more of You.”
