God's Supply
And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
Success in the Christian life is depends upon our faith in the promises of God. When we hold onto His promises, it not only grants us peace but it allows for God to bring those promises to pass in our lives. To put it the opposite way, when we don’t trust in what God says, it can hinder what He wants to do in us and for us. For example the Bible says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord (James 1:5-7).
We live in financially pressing times. Many are feeling the stress that can come from financial insecurity. However, God promises us that He will provide for our “needs”. We may not get all that we want, but we will get all that we need. God has promised us that. Even when our resources are low, or our countries resources, God’s are not. He has an infinite supply.
So have faith in the promise that God will provide. Ask God to show to you and grow in you what He wants during a time of testing. For that is what it is: a test of your faith!
Today’s prayer: “Lord help me to trust in Your promise to always provide for my needs.”
