God is for you
If God is for us, who can be against us?
Rom. 8:31
There is nothing as powerful as knowing that God is on your side. It brings confidence, security, courage, acceptance, peace and assurance into our hearts. However, it seems that many people are not sure if God is for them or not. This verse even starts out with the conditional word “if”. We can sometimes wonder, “Is God for me today? Did I do enough good things to get Him on my side? Did I lose His help because of my sin?” This verse is not a conditional one at all. In fact, our entire relationship with God is not conditioned upon how good we are but how good God is. This verse could be translated “Since God is for us”. In other words, it is not to get us thinking about whether He is with us, but what can stand against us. This question is rhetorical demanding the answer… “NO ONE!”
I want you to grab ahold of these two truths today:
First, that GOD IS FOR YOU! Wow, what a promise. What a perspective. God is not mad at you... He is mad about you! He wants only what is best for you. That one distinction will change your view of God and yourself.
Second, NOTHING CAN STAND AGAINST YOU! Since God is for you, you are going to win. You’re going to stand. In fact, you can’t lose. God never loses. With Him there is only victory and blessings.
So realize that the Maker of the universe is FOR you. It is because of this, nothing can stand AGAINST you. If you speak this truth into your heart; the heart of your spouse, the heart of you children, the heart of your students, the heart of your employees; you will begin to see greater and greater victories in your life.
