Faith Speaks

It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak. 2 Corinthians 4:13

Faith is what brings the possibility of God into the reality of man. When we believe in who God is and what He says, that faith lines us up with Him so that His blessings and power can flow thru our lives. God’s part is to supply; our part is to apply. Faith is the pathway from God to us. Without faith we block the flow of God’s activity in our lives.

Part of believing is confessing. When we think of “confession” most people think of our sins and confessing the negative in our lives. But we also need (in fact much more often) to confess the positive side. To confess means to “agree with God”. When we believe in God and speak out our faith, it lines us up with Him and brings His life into our lives in a supernatural way.

If we really believe something, we will proclaim it. It will find its way into our language. God wants our faith to be strong enough that we speak it out. Listen to your language. Are you talking like a believer? Remember that the mouth speaks out of the overflow of the heart. So make sure your heart believes in what God says. Then confess it. Proclaim it. Declare it.

For example: The Bible says you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus who loves us (Romans 8:37). So confess that. Say to your challenge; say to your trial, “I am a conqueror through Jesus!” You see either its true or its not true. If it’s true (and God says its true)- then confess it. This will bring to you the victory that God desires for you. That victory will bring God glory!

Today’s prayer: “Lord increase my faith and help me to speak forth in faith what You say in Your Word.”

Keep looking up,
Pastor Gary
